When You Give To The Food Bank
You Never Know Who You Might Help

You may have seen the the Food Bank’s "Feed Hope" public awareness campaign highlighting stories of local individuals, including Ithaca Mayor Svante Myrick and retired nurse Bonnie Nielsen, both who have struggled with food insecurity in the past. Our latest story features Linda Wintermute (photo left), Assistant Director at Bread of Life Food Pantry in Candor, NY. This campaign continues to challenge the stereotypes that people have about whom we serve with real faces and success stories of people in the Southern Tier who have struggled with hunger. We also invite anyone who is willing, to share his or her personal story. If you would like to share your story, click here to the Food Bank’s website. Feed Hope advertisements are sponsored in part by Shulman Company.
