Cargill Salt, Watkins Glen, NY is working to make sure our Schuyler County neighbors have access to the nutritious food they need. A $30,000 donation from the employee-led Cargill Cares Council to the Food Bank of the Southern Tier will fund Schuyler County’s BackPack Program, its Senior Mobile Food Pantry, and the county’s Healthy Harvest program which provides fresh fruits and vegetables to those in need.
Cargill businesses and facilities and their employees give through more than 350 employee-led Cargill Care Councils worldwide. The councils provide support for local charitable and civic organizations and programs such as school and youth program and local environmental projects, as well as food relief agencies like the Food Bank of the Southern Tier.
Together, Cargill and the Food Bank are working toward a Schuyler County community where everyone has the means to obtain good food in a dignified way – helping them to meet the challenges of their everyday life. Thank you, Cargill, for supporting our work and our community!
