The Food Bank of the Southern Tier recognizes our friend and partner Laurie Ellis on her retirement from Catholic Charities of Tompkins/Tioga. Laurie has been the Director of the Tioga Outreach Center and our agency partner with the center’s food pantry in Nichols. She was a featured speaker at our 2016 Agency Celebration and attended our Albany Lobby Day in 2017, lobbying for the successful passage of the Farm to Food Bank Bill. Laurie has been a tireless advocate for people facing poverty and food insecurity in Tioga County, and we thank her for her efforts on behalf of our community.
