From The Food Bank of the Southern Tier
We are saddened by the racially motivated mass shooting in Buffalo over the weekend and offer our deepest condolences to the victims and their families. The Food Bank of the Southern Tier rejects hateful rhetoric and actions that dehumanize or harm any members of our community, especially those from traditionally marginalized groups.
As a community, we must come together to recognize our shared humanity regardless of race, ethnicity, religious beliefs, gender, sexual orientation, and other social differences. Without that, there can be no community. The Food Bank is committed to building and sustaining hunger-free communities across the Southern Tier. One of the ways we do this is by centering diversity, equity, and inclusion in our work and ensuring that everyone has a place at the table. We hope you will join us.
