2021 Tour de Keuka Update

For the past six years, the Food Bank of the Southern Tier has been hosting the annual Tour de Keuka charity bike ride in July. Participants cycle around stunning Keuka Lake while raising funds to provide meals and awareness of food insecurity.

Randy Rhoads was an essential part of the creation of Tour de Keuka, initially focused on raising funds for Juvenile Diabetes. After 10 years, Randy gifted Tour de Keuka to the Food Bank of the Southern Tier.

Each year, the Food Bank of the Southern Tier team and the Tour de Keuka Committee worked to make updates to improve the rider and volunteer experience, all while raising funds. Due to COVID-19, the Food Bank and Tour de Keuka Committee pivoted the in-person event to a virtual platform, like many events across the world.

After considerable strategic discussion, the Food Bank made the difficult decision to find a new home for Tour de Keuka. We are excited to share the legacy of Tour de Keuka with the United Way of the Southern Tier and look forward to seeing how the event is adapted to support their cause. This year’s event will take place on Saturday, August 21.
