Check Out Hunger

Did you know that $2 provides 6 meals to neighbors in need? That $3 can feed a child for one weekend through the BackPack Program? Or that $5 allows the Food Bank to acquire $28 worth of food to help families in need?

You can help Check Out Hunger by donating $2, $3 or $5 at the register of your local grocery store during the campaign. Cashiers simply add the donation to shoppers’ checkout totals.100% of donations go to the Food Bank of the Southern Tier and stay in our community.

Shoppers can donate at their local grocery store through these dates:

  • Jubilee Foods: Sunday, January 27 - Saturday, February 23
  • Save-A-Lot: Sunday, January 27 - Saturday, March 2
  • Tops Friendly Markets: Sunday, January 27 - Saturday, February 16
  • Wegmans: Sunday, February 3 - Saturday, March 2, 2019

    Thank you to our wonderful retail partners and shoppers for raising
    $278,132 in the 2018 Check Out Hunger Campaign.
    That amount provided 834,398 meals for people in need throughout the Southern Tier.
