- Programs and Partnerships Manager
The Programs & Partnership Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day processes of the Food Bank’s external partner agency services and community programs that address hunger and food insecurity across the region. This position is the primary relationship manager for all agency and program partnerships and ensures that Food Bank resources are strategically leveraged for the greatest impact.

The Development Assistant provides administrative, organizational, and clerical support to the Chief Development Officer (CDO) of the Food Bank of the Southern Tier, supports the work of the Development & Community Engagement (D&CE) department, and is the backup assistance for gift entry in the donor database.

- Emergency Food Access VISTA Fall 2022 – Fall 2023
The VISTA will work with the Food Bank of the Southern Tier (FBST) staff and the network to address gaps in services and increase access to emergency food assistance. This includes increasing volunteer capacity within our network, supporting the roll-out of home deliveries, and assisting with outreach to prospective strategic partners that will enable us to reach our goals towards increasing access. - Food Bank Agency and Program Capacity VISTA Fall 2022 – Fall 2023
The VISTA will support the Food Bank of the Southern Tier’s Agency & Program Capacity priorities to enable our network to increase its capacity through trainings, program development including the expansion of our new Diaper Bank program, and the introduction of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) framework. - Order Ahead Production VISTA Fall 2022 – Fall 2023
The VISTA will work with the production manager at the Food Bank of the Southern Tier on implementation of the Order Ahead pilot program. The vista will oversee volunteer shifts for finished goods, manage inventory, work within the operating / ordering system, be a liaison with Community Impact for clients and partners as well as provide data driven reviews and best practices of the operation to the COO. The VISTA will also work on menu creation with our Nutritionist. - Healthcare Partnership VISTA Fall 2022 – Fall 2023
The VISTA will work closely with the Food Bank of the Southern Tier’s Health & Nutrition Programs Manager and Director of Health & Nutrition on new and established healthcare partnership programs with local healthcare institutions. Responsibilities will include supporting menu development, planning for meal delivery programs, program evaluation, and suggestions for improvement and enhancement of services. The VISTA will also have an opportunity to take part in the development of strategies to engage with new healthcare partners. - Food Bank School Food Center VISTA Fall 2022 – Fall 2023
The VISTA will expand the Food Bank of the Southern Tier’s School Food Center (SFC) program with a strong emphasis on Broome County. VISTAs will conduct outreach to potential SFC sites, market the program, assist with onboarding new sites, provide technical support, and expand the program into other counties as time permits. The VISTA will also work with the Program & Partnerships team to ensure best practices and models are implemented as well as program evaluation.
